
Carol Kolf
Artist
Born in Illinois, Carol spent the first half of her life in the Chicago area. Sheridan, Wyoming is home now. After moving to Sheridan, she focused on her love of fiber art. She began as a traditional quilter and has experimented with many styles and techniques. With many years of art training in her past, she now specializes in art quilts.

Among the techniques that Carol uses in her work are painting with water soluble pastels combined with thread, thread painting with digitally printed photographs, and fabric collage.

Carol is inspired by her surroundings. She is an avid gardener and loves flowers and trees which she uses often in her work.

Carol has won numerous awards and has had her quilts published in several magazines and books including Quilting Arts, Quilters Newsletter, Machine Quilting Unlimited, and Thread Stories.
