Members! Use code INTROWC25 to get your exclusive Member Discount! Watercolor is a direct medium for quickly capturing the light and color of the world around us. This introductory/intermediate-level watercolor class will get you started with the basic elements of watercolor painting. We will cover technical aspects such as brush handling, layering, tea/milk/honey, paper wetting, etc. along with basic painting concepts such as color theory, value structure, composition, and simplification. We will also review drawing skills including drawing from observation and perspective. Classes are taught through hands-on experience, demonstrations, fun exercises, and looking at examples from art history. Watercolor paints, brushes, and paper will be included with a supply fee. Supplies are included! Classes are taught by Buffalo artist and teacher Jenny Wuerker. Jenny is a landscape painter represented by Robischon Gallery in Denver. She has taught art since 1992 and has an undergraduate degree from Yale University and a Master’s in Fine Art from American University. Supplies are included!
