"What an honor!  I am a huge fan of SAGE Arts and all they represent in Sheridan County and the vibrant art community.  To have the privilege to jury this show was an exciting challenge.  The art submitted from all over the United States was a testament to the rich variety of artistic expression we celebrate in our country.  The various mediums, subject matter and creative processes were so diverse.  I had to browse through the entire submission collection a few times before starting to make choices.  I am a representational artist of mostly western and wildlife in my fine art profession, but have had the privilege of creating murals, commissions and teaching classes for a wide variety of client visions and commercial projects.  This gives me great respect for the process and execution of all types of art. 

 

I first tagged any image that really evoked a response of either emotion, intrigue, or curiosity.  From those first many, many pieces, I went back and studied each piece to ascertain which rose to the top.  I wanted to include varied styles, mediums and include both two and three dimensional pieces.   The pieces I chose all spoke to me !   I applaud all 250 submissions and congratulate every single artist for their efforts and work.  Thank you for sharing your vision and talents to the world."
