Jentel Presents: August 2021

From Lynn Reeves of the Jentel Foundation:

Live and in person! “Jentel Presents” returns to SAGE, Tuesday, August 3rd

We are returning to live and in-person “Jentel Presents” on the first Tuesday of the month at SAGE Community Arts! The July group of artists and writers await the opportunity to share their work at this month's "Jentel Presents”. The community outreach program featuring the visual presentations and readings by the residents at the Jentel Artist Residency Program will take place on Tuesday, August 3rd, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., at SAGE Community Arts. Face coverings or masks, and social distancing from other visitors and staff are recommended.

This month’s presenters include: Dylan DeWitt, Fayetteville, AK; An experimental artist, Dylan makes playful, confusing things in order to ask what seeing is. His artworks address the unusual, the everyday, and the puzzling territories in between. Nona Willis Aronowitz, Brooklyn, NY; Nona is a narrative non-fiction writer and editor who is working on a book about bad (and good!) sex. She has been to 45 of 50 states in the USA.

Join us in looking forward to the next "Jentel Presents" on Tuesday, September 7th in the same format.

The Jentel Foundation offers dedicated individuals a supportive environment in which to further their creative development. While at Jentel, visual artists and writers have the opportunity to experience unfettered time to allow

for thoughtful reflection and meditation on the creative process in a setting that preserves the agricultural and historical integrity of the land.

The Jentel Artist Residency Program accepts applications twice a year from visual artists in all media and writers in all genres for a one-month residency. A residency includes a comfortable accommodation; common living, dining, and recreation areas; a private workspace and a stipend to help defray expenses during the program.
